Turkey Earthquake: Tamil Nadu Issued Helpline Numbers For Tamils

The earthquake has destroyed Turkey, and the situation is getting worse. Rescuers are giving their full effort to save lives. Tamil Nadu Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced telephone numbers to help stranded Tamils. 

Rescuers are struggling to rescue people trapped in the rubble of buildings amid heavy snowfall. The death toll is feared to rise further as bodies are being recovered from the rubble. For more than 40 hours, people trapped in the rubble have been waiting for help. 

The Tamil Nadu government has announced that Tamils who need help in Turkey can contact 044 28525648, 044-28515288, and help will be provided through the Indian Embassy there. The Tamil Nadu Welfare and Rehabilitation Commission has announced that it is ready to help the Tamils affected in Turkey and Syria.
