No Warning of Tsunami In Indonesia after a 7.4-Magnitude Quake

Off the coast of North Maluku province of eastern Indonesia has been hit by a strong 7.1-magnitude earthquake on Friday early morning. Following the steady rumble that took place off the coast of Indonesia, a destructive Tsunami was expected by the people. However, the tsunami warning center of the United States denied the possible tsunami hit.
Amid the information given by the Unites States tsunami warning center, the Indonesian Meteorological and Climatology agency warning its people to stay away from the coastal regions. Aftershocks have also been reported from the region.
People from the Maluku province has shifted to higher grounds, says a report from the region. Despite the strong tremors, no injuries and loss of life were reported since now. The Indonesian government is taking rapid precautionary measures.
According to the report of the US Geological Survey, the rumble happened at a depth of 45km in the 'Ring of Fire' that is exactly 140 Kms in the northwest of Ternate, a coastal town.
On the other side, Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre warned of potential waves within 300 miles from the epicenter of the hit.
