On Day 10 of the Paris 2024 Olympics, so far India's athletes had showcased a mixed performance. The expectations for Indian athletes are higher than the previous year. The Olympics are forwarding with interesting events which are going viral worldwide. 

For instance, Lakshya Sen came close to winning India's first men's singles badminton medal but lost the bronze medal match. 

Similarly, shooters Maheshwari Chauhan and Anand Jeet Singh Naruka narrowly missed out on a podium finish in the skeet mixed team event, losing the bronze medal contest by one point.

Hockey Men’s Semi-Final: India vs. Germany

The Indian men’s hockey team will face Germany in the semi-final at 10:30 PM IST, with hopes of securing a spot in the final. 

Men’s Javelin Throw (Qualification):

In athletics, the men’s javelin throw will see Kishore Kumar Jena competing in Qualification Group A at 1:50 PM IST, followed by Neeraj Chopra in Qualification Group B at 3:20 PM IST.

Women’s 400m (Repechage):

Additionally, Kiran Pahal will participate in the women’s 400m repechage at 2:50 PM IST.

Table Tennis Men’s Team (Pre-Quarterfinal):

In table tennis, the Indian men’s team, comprising Harmeet Desai, Sharath Kamal, and Manav Thakkar, will launch their campaign in the pre-quarterfinals against China at 1:30 PM IST. 

Wrestling Women’s 50kg Round of 16:

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat will compete in the women’s 50kg Round of 16 against Japan’s Yui Susaki at 2:30 PM IST.

Manu Bhaker:

  • Women’s 10m Air Pistol (Bronze): Manu Bhaker made history by becoming the first Indian woman to win an Olympic shooting medal.
  • Mixed Team 10m Air Pistol (Bronze) with Sarabjot Singh, Bhaker’s second medal in Paris 2024, making her the first Indian to win two medals at a single Olympic Games.

Swapnil Kusale:

Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (Bronze): Swapnil Kusale added a bronze medal to India’s tally, standing alongside gold medalist Liu Yukun of China and silver medalist Serhiy Kulish of Ukraine.
