Messi, the captain of the Argentina team who had announced his retirement, has made another important announcement in the joy of winning the World Cup.

The 22nd World Cup football tournament was held in Qatar, one of the Arab countries. Argentina became the first team to qualify for the finals. Earlier, the team captain, Messi, who met the media, announced that he would retire from playing in international competitions with this World Cup series. This caused a huge surprise among his fans.

Messi told TyC Sports, as quoted by Goal.com, soon after lifting the 2022 FIFA World Cup title by defeating France, "No, I'm not going to retire from the Argentina national team. I want to continue playing as a champion," 

Argentina beat France 4-2 in a penalty shootout in the final and won the title after 36 years. Lionel Messi has become a football legend who has achieved his 18-year dream. Even at age 35, the magic of standing in front of the World Cup final has mesmerised the fans.
