Google has officially announced the launch of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in India, marking the debut of its first foldable smartphone in the country. This decision comes after Google skipped introducing its first foldable phone to Indian markets last year.

In a social media post on X, Google confirmed the arrival of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in India with the statement, "Out with the old. In with the fold. Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, for the first time in India."

Google is set to reveal the Pixel 9 Pro Fold at an event scheduled for August 13 at its headquarters in Mountain View, California. The company had previously issued official invites for this event, promising to showcase the pinnacle of Google AI, Android software, and the latest additions to the Pixel device lineup.

Pixel 9 Series Leaked Price:

Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to start at Euro 1,199 and go up to Euro 1,689 for the highest storage capacity model. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the successor to last year's Pixel Fold, is anticipated to be priced between Euro 1,899 and  Euro 2,029, available exclusively in Obsidian and Porcelain finishes.

The Pixel 9 Pro features a unique horizontal pill-shaped camera layout on the rear, accommodating a triple camera setup and flash. However, details about the front camera of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold remain undisclosed. As the launch date approaches, rumors and speculations are expected to boost around Google's latest offerings.

Additionally, the Pixel 9 series is set to debut in four colour variants, Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Cosmo, and Mojito. According to recent reports, pricing for the Pixel 9 starts at Euro 899 for the 128GB storage option, while the Pixel 9 Pro may range from Euro 1,099 to Euro 1,329 depending on the storage variant.

Google's also emphasis on design and innovation, coupled with the potential integration of its Gemini AI, promises to elevate functionality and usability, potentially establishing a new standard for smartphone intelligence.
