In addition to that, you can also search by the date or month you last spoke to the person.
Record with a Song Playing:
One of the significant updates of iOS 18 is the Camera app which allows you to take photos or videos while your music continues to play. This feature works with Bluetooth connections, making it perfect for capturing moments without interrupting your soundtrack.
Dynamic Subtitles in Apple TV:
In iOS 18, subtitles turned out to be more smarter. Subtitles will automatically display at the right times, especially when the content language differs from your device language, or when you mute the audio and rewind a scene.
Messages App Updates:
The Messages app has received important upgrades, including the ability to send images up to 100MB in size and schedule messages for later delivery. For example, you can schedule a message for someone's birthday which will automatically send a message on the time you scheduled.
You can also react with more Tapbacks and format text with effects like bold or underlining for emphasis. Plus, the new Messages via Satellite feature lets you send texts even without a cellular signal, making it ideal for outdoor adventures.
Hide Screenshots in Photos:
Another intriguing new update with iOS 18 is hiding the screenshots in photos. With this feature, one can manage the Photos app more effectively with a new filtering option that allows you to hide screenshots from your main library view. This helps reduce mess and keeps your favorite photos front and center.
Restart Your iPhone From The Control Center:
Restarting your iPhone is now more convenient. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your device, press, and hold the new power button in the Control Center, and the power-off slider will appear. Hold it for a moment, and you’re set to restart without physical buttons.
Automatic Language Detection:
The new multilingual keyboard automatically recognizes and switches to the language you were using last in your messages. This is especially handy for bilingual users who frequently switch between languages. For example, if you were messaging a colleague in Malayalam and your family in Tamil, you could pick up right where you left off.
Distraction Control in Safari:
With IOS 18, reduce distractions while browsing with the new feature that allows you to hide ads and pop-ups on web pages. You can easily revert these changes if you decide you want to see everything again.
Wired Migration for Quick Data Transfer:
iOS 18 simplifies the upgrade process with a wired migration feature. Connect your current iPhone directly to your new iPhone using a USB-C or USB-C to Lightning cable for faster data transfer. If both devices are iPhone Pros, using a Thunderbolt cable makes the process lightning-fast.
