Two Youths Killed After Bike Rams Nilgiris SP Car near Kallar

Two youth tragically lost their lives in a tragic accident when their vehicle collided with the car of P. Sundar Vadivel, Super Intendent of Police of Nilgiris district, on the Mettupalayam-Ooty Road near Kallar.
On June 8, there was a tragic accident on the Mettupalayam-Ooty Road near Coimbatore airport. SP P. Sundar Vadivel's wife was traveling in a car to the airport when the accident occurred. At the same time, Altaf (18), a student at Government Arts College, and Junaid (21), a worker in a cottage, were riding a bike toward Ooty. Unfortunately, the two vehicles collided, resulting in a devastating accident.
Police regarding the accident said, “Two college students identified as Altaf (18) and Junaid (21), both studying in Government Arts College rammed their two-wheeler from the opposite direction. In the impact of the mishap, the duo was thrown off and the bike caught fire.”
The collision between the motorbike and the car was severe, causing a fire to break out immediately upon impact. The local fire department was alerted and rushed to the scene and take control of the situation.
Altaf and Junaid, critically injured in the accident, were initially rushed to government hospitals in the area. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were later transferred to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for advanced medical care.
Altaf died of his injuries on the way to CMCH. Despite the active efforts of the medical team, Junaid also passed away the following Tuesday morning. The Mettupalayam police are investigating the case.
