TN Weather Report: Heavy Rainfall In 5 Districts Today

The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued a press release detailing the upcoming weather conditions across Tamil Nadu. The release suggests a high possibility of rainfall in the Nilgiris district and Ghat areas of Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, and Dindigul districts. 

Over the next seven days, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are expected to witness light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places. 

Specific attention is drawn to the Nilgiris district and the Ghat areas of Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, and Dindigul districts, where heavy rain is expected at isolated locations during this period. This prediction covers the period from July 14th (Today) to July 16th, 2024.

For Chennai and its vicinity, the weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall. Thunderstorms and lightning are expected in some areas. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 33-34°C, providing some relief from the heat, while minimum temperatures will be around 26-27°C. 

Currently, Coimbatore is experiencing cloudy weather conditions. There is a high chance of rainfall at any time.
