TN Weather Report: Heavy Rainfall Expected In 13 Districts

Due to the ongoing southwest Monsoon in August, heavy rainfall is expected in at least 13 districts across Tamil Nadu. The Meteorological Department has issued a press release stating the anticipated weather conditions in Tamil Nadu.
Light to moderate rain is expected in various regions, with thunderstorms and lightning potentially affecting isolated locations throughout Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
Areas of Heavy Rainfall:
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected in the Ghat areas of Coimbatore district. In addition to that, heavy rain is likely in the districts including Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Theni, Dindigul, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, Erode, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Salem, and Namakkal.
Chennai Forecast:
In Chennai, the sky is expected to be partly cloudy. Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is likely to occur in some parts of the city. The maximum temperature is projected to be around 36°C, while the minimum temperature will range between 27-28°C.
Coimbatore Forecast:
Coimbatore will see generally cloudy skies with moderate rain throughout the day. The temperatures in Coimbatore will be cooler today, the maximum is 33.0 °C, and the minimum temperatures are expected to be around 23.0°C.
