TN Weather Report: Chennai And Coimbatore To Expect Rain

The Chennai Meteorological Department issued a press release stating that there is a variation in the speed of the westerly wind blowing towards Tamil Nadu. 

Due to this, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu today (July 9). From July 10 to July 14th, light to moderate rain is likely in one or two places.

According to the report issued by the Chennai Meteorological Department, there was rain in a few places in the coastal districts of North Tamil Nadu and a couple of places in other districts, while dry weather prevailed in Puduvai and Karaikal.

For the next 7 days, there is a possibility of rain in some places due to the change in the speed of the western wind. Accordingly, today (09.07.2024) light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puduvai, and Karaikal areas. Similarly, light to moderate rain may occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puduvai, and Karaikal from tomorrow (10.07.2024) to 14.07.2024 (Sunday).

The sky is expected to be partly cloudy over Chennai and suburbs, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely during the evening or night over some parts of the city. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 34° Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 25°-26° Celsius.

The weather in some parts of Coimbatore is currently cloudy, and there has been consistent rainfall for the past two days. The Nilgiri district is experiencing pleasant weather, making it an ideal destination for tourists.
