TN Weather: Change in Westerly Wind Speed Blowing Towards Tamil Nadu

There has been a change in the speed of the westerly wind blowing towards Tamil Nadu. Thus becomes Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places over Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur, Thenkasi, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Erode, Karur, Madurai and Puducherry, Karaikal on August 8th (today).

There was continuous heavy rain in the Nilgiri district last night. The heavy wind has also caused severe damage to the tribal areas. The climate in Coimbatore is also cloudy, and light rain showers are received in the morning in a few areas. 

Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur, Thenkasi, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, North Tamil Nadu Coastal Districts, Puducherry and Karaikal may receive Light to moderate rain at a few places on August 9th and 10th.

Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Tirupur, Thenkasi, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and North Tamil Nadu districts, Puducherry, Karaikal, will receive moderate rain on the August 11th. The sky will be partly cloudy in Chennai for the next two days. Light rain is expected in some areas.
