TN Weather Report: 9 Districts Under Heavy Rainfall Alert

The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for nine districts in Tamil Nadu, urging residents to remain aware of the weather conditions.
In recent days, many regions across Tamil Nadu have experienced significant rainfall as the Northeast Monsoon has set in, leading to waterlogged roads that have disrupted traffic and daily life.
Heavy Rainfall:
In this case, the meteorological department has indicated that heavy rain is expected to affect isolated areas in the districts of Theni, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, and Virudhunagar. Residents in these areas should be prepared for heavy rainfall with the potential for thunderstorms and lightning.
Moreover, light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional lightning, is predicted to occur in various locations throughout Tamil Nadu, as well as in the neighboring regions of Puducherry and Karaikal.
Chennai:
In Chennai, the sky will be partly cloudy with light rain possible, and temperatures are expected maximum temperature to range from 35-36°C with a minimum temperature of 26-27°C.
Coimbatore:
Coimbatore is forecasted to have a partly cloudy sky with a chance of moderate rain or thunderstorms, with maximum temperatures reaching 34°C and a minimum temperature of 22°C.
