Tirunelveli: NEET Coach Abuse Students, CCTV Footage Shocks

A shocking video of the Jal NEET coaching center owner beating students and throwing a sandal at a female student in Tirunelveli has gone viral on social media. This video created public outrage and concerns among both parents and students.
Jal Coaching Center:
The coaching center, run by Jalaluddin Ahmed from Kerala, is located near the New Bus Stand in Tirunelveli. It is said that he previously taught at a well-known NEET coaching center, and set up his own institution, attracting students from Tirunelveli and surrounding areas.
It is reported that parents paid between Rs 60,000 and Rs 80,000 annually for their children to receive intensive training, which ran from 8 am to 8 pm, with separate accommodation facilities provided for male and female students.
Jal Coaching Center Staff Complaint:
The attack came to the limelight after a staff filed a complaint against them at the police station. A former staff of Jal Coaching Center who is said to have resigned on October 1st week, filed a complaint with the Melapalayam Police recently. He claimed that students were being subjected to physical abuse and harsh punishments in an effort to improve pass rates. He also submitted video evidence of the alleged abuse.
Police Investigation:
Following the complaint, the Melapalayam Police conducted investigations at the center on October 13 and 15. During their probe, they uncovered footage showing the center's owner, Jalaluddin Ahmed, physically attacking students.
What Happened?
In the video, Ahmed is seen beating five students with a bamboo stick, causing injuries to their shoulders and legs for sleeping instead of studying. Another video shows Ahmed throwing a sandal at a female student in front of others because she had failed to properly arrange her sandals.
The footage of these incidents quickly spread across social media, leading to widespread outrage and concern over the mistreatment of students. In response, the police have filed charges against Ahmed under multiple categories, but he remains absconding. Authorities are actively searching for him.
