IT Park coming up at Mattuthavani in Madurai? "Tamil Nadu has progressed from 14th place to 3rd place in the list of easy entrepreneurs in the country. This way, a new TIDEL Park will be set up on 5 acres near Mattuthavani in Madurai at Rs. 600 crores. Through this, ten thousand people will get job opportunities," said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin participated in the Southern Zone Conference for Small and Medium Enterprises in Madurai today. He spoke at this conference, "Tamil Nadu Government considers the development of small and medium enterprises as important. About 50 thousand registered small and medium enterprises operate in the Madurai district. These enterprises employ 3 lakh 37 thousand people.
Tamil Nadu has many unique products. Out of the 42 geocoded products, 18 products are from South Tamil Nadu. It is a matter of pride that out of the 25 products applied for GIs, 14 are from South Tamil Nadu, including Kambam paneer grapes, Ebenkudi Panangakandu, Thoothukudi macaroon, Cholavanthan betel leaf, and Marthandam honey.
Due to the huge popularity of these products in foreign countries, our manufacturers and exporters should produce more, export to foreign countries, and make Tamil Nadu proud.
In recognition of MSMEs' contribution to Tamil Nadu's development, many awards have been given, including the Best Entrepreneur Award, Best Agribusiness Enterprise Award, Best Women Entrepreneur Award, and Quality and Export Company Award at the state level. Thanks to banks for providing loans for balanced business development.
