Thoppur Accident 2024: Lorries Collided At Salem-Bengaluru Highway

In the Thoppur pass area, a collision involving five vehicles occurred. A lorry and two cars caught fire on the bridge, leading to chaos. One lorry in the accident fell off the bridge and crashed, causing extensive damage. Unfortunately, all the cars involved in the collision were engulfed in flames. As per the reports, four members died in the accident, and the rescue operation is underway.

Reason For Thoppur (Salem - Bangalore Highway) Accident:

It is said that a lorry carrying paddy bags from Dharmapuri to Salem lost control of the driver and collided with two lorries and three cars. Dharmapuri District Superintendent of Police Stephen and Thoppur police have rushed to the spot and are engaged in rescue operations.

Death In Thoppur Accident:

Due to this tragic accident, the Salem-Bengaluru national highway is facing severe traffic jams, and the police are working to clear it. While the details of the deceased are said to be not fully known, it has been informed that the complete details will be revealed after the completion of the rescue operations. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced Rs 2 lakh as compensation to the families.
