Third DMK MLA Dr. R.T. Arasu Tested Positive with COVID 19

Third DMK MLA with COVID 19 - Coronavirus update June 28: Coronavirus counts increase in DMK than ADMK as it attacks its third MLA now. After killing J. Anbalagan and hospitalizing Vasantham Karthikeyan, Dr. R.T. Arasu is now the third DMK MLA with COVID 19. Dr. Arasu is the MLA of the Cheyyar constituency and is currently admitted in a private hospital for COVID 19 ailment.
AIADMK MLA K. Palani of Sriperumbudur constituency is also under treatment for COVID 19. Chief Minister has announced Rs. 5 lakhs to the dead TV cameraman E.Velmurugan of a Tamil channel due to COVID 19.
Coronavirus in India: As per the world meter site, India recorded 20,131 new infection cases yesterday, taking the total to 529,577 cases. The death toll, as of now, is 16,103 and increasing every day. After West Bengal state announcing continuance of lockdown 6.0 until July 31, Jharkand has announced the same yesterday.
How many more states will decide on the lockdown as the coronavirus cases continuously rising to new highs every day will be known in the next two days. Delhi crossed 80,000 infection cases as its government is conducting 20,000 tests now per day.
GOI ministers meeting in Delhi: After nearly 20 days, the Government of India ministers meeting was conducted yesterday, June 27, afternoon. It was last held on June 9 when the infections were only around 2,50,000. But now it has more than doubled to cross 5,25,000, and the meeting happens only now. Even the nodal medical body ICMR responsible for the fight against coronavirus has not held a meeting for the past two weeks when the infections and deaths are skyrocketing in India.
In the GOI meeting yesterday, apart from the health minister Harsh Vardhan it was only the foreign affairs minister Jaishankar and aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri attended the meeting online. The prime minister or even the home minister did not participate in it which was held for controlling coronavirus spreading at unprecedented levels across India.
The health minister said that only eight states have more than 85.5 % of infections and 87 % of COVID 19 deaths. The states include Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal. Out of these eight, the first three states alone , including Tamil Nadu, contribute to 54 % of the infection cases.
On the first day of unlocking down-1 June 8 the infection cases were 256, 611. Within the next twenty days, it has more than doubled to now above five lakhs. And from the start of relaxations from May 17, it has gone up from less than one lakh to more than five lakhs.
The lockdown started when the infection cases were minimum and below 1,000, and relaxations and unlocking happening when the infection case numbers are in lakhs. It is the same with deaths as there was only one death during the start of lockdown and as of now more than 16,000 precious lives were lost even after all the sufferings of lockdown. Hence it is only for the people to be safe to safeguard their lives and their loved ones in these coming days of worst corona crisis.
