Tamil Nadu Weather Report: Holiday Has Been Announced To Schools

Due to heavy rains, schools and colleges in 23 districts, including Chennai, are declared a holiday today. The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast thundershowers in 17 districts, including Chennai, today.

Heavy rains began again in Tamil Nadu yesterday due to the prevailing atmospheric circulation in the southern Bay of Bengal.  Holidays have been announced for schools and colleges today at Thiruvarur, Pudukottai, Nellai, Nagapattinam, Ariyalur, Perambalur.

Holidays are also announced in Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Tanjore, Trichy, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Cuddalore, Ramanathapuram, Villupuram, Salem, Ranipettai, Kallakurichi, Vellore, Dindigul, Mayiladuthurai and Thiruvannamalai.

Chennai, Egmore, Central, Alandur, Perungudi, Tharamani, Saidapet, Kindi, Barangimalai and Rayapuram areas will receive heavy rainfall. The Chennai Meteorological Department has said that the rains will continue till the 29th of this month.
