Tamil Nadu Weather Report: Heavy Rain and Landslide In Ooty?

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall for the months of August and September. In Tamil Nadu, heavy rainfall has been reported, and the Chennai Meteorological Center has issued a warning for heavy rain until August 5th.
The weather in many parts of Tamil Nadu is cloudy and rainy. The residents at the red alert areas are requested to be safe and are moved to the safe places especially in hill stations like Ooty and Kodaikanal.
On the other hand, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Karaikal, with strong onshore winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph.
Tomorrow (August 3), light to moderate rain is expected in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puduvai, and Karaikal. Similar conditions are anticipated from August 4 to August 7.
The India Meteorological Department has also warned of very heavy rains in the Nilgiris district for the next 3 days. Chennai and its suburbs are expected to be partly cloudy for the next 24 hours, with light to moderate rain and thunder expected in some parts of the city.
