TN Export Conclave: Made In Tamil Nadu Should Be heard Says CM Stalin

Chief Minister MK Stalin said at the Tamil Nadu Export Conclave that The voice of "Made in Tamilnadu" should be heard all over the world. The event was being organised by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industries and various export Promotion Councils.
Industries Minister Thangam Thennarasu, Rural Industries Minister T. M. Anbarasan and senior officials, the Additional Secretary Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Principal Secretary Industries, Additional Director of General Foreign Trade, and others participated in the event.
In the conference held in Kalaivanar Arangam, Chief Minister M.K Stalin said, "I am proud to announce the export policy for Tamil Nadu.
The Government of Tamil Nadu will provide all support to exporters and investors. The industrial development of Tamil Nadu is spread all over India. We must move towards the world. The world must come towards us. In the list of best exporting states in India, Tamil Nadu ranks 3rd with exports of Rs 1.93 lakh crore. Tamil Nadu is also at the forefront of the industry."
He continued," At the All India level, the contribution of Tamil Nadu is 8.97%. Tamil Nadu is also a leader in motor vehicle manufacturing. Tamil Nadu is proud to have a 58% share in garment and jewellery exports, a 45% share in footwear exports and a 25% share in electronics exports. This victory is a victory for the work of every Tamil people. We should not be satisfied with this success. The number of these percentages must continue to increase each year."
He also said," Tamil Nadu's unique products are well received worldwide. Like 'Made in India', it should now be called 'Made in Tamil Nadu'. Currently, Geographical indication products including Kanchipuram, Arani and Chinnalapatti sarees are gaining popularity abroad. New investments in the sector have begun to emerge as the market entry tax on cotton has been removed. We need to produce more electrical products in Tamil Nadu," he said.
The Export Conference also features an export-related exhibition. The exhibition will be open to the public in the afternoon. The Export Guides for Small, Medium and Medium Enterprises was also exhibited. Led by the Hon'ble Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, Industries Department inks 14 MoUs with companies for setting up Export Units.
