Strict Action Against Police For Ignorance In Drug Supply

The police are actively involved in the operation to stop the circulation of drugs in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Chennai Metropolitan Police. 

Circulation of drugs and usage of drugs among youngsters has become very common in recent days. The police officials are making maximum efforts to control the supply of drugs, but still, it is challenging for them to stop as a whole.

In this case, there was an allegation that some of the police were complicit with the criminals without taking action against the drug trade. Based on this, Commissioner of Police Sandeep Roy Rathore has ordered action to transfer 22 police officers, including 6 Assistant Inspectors, 2 Head Constables and 14 Constables, to the waiting list.
