Srimathi Case: Madras High Court Grants Bail To School Administrators

Five school administrators arrested in the Kallakurichi student death case, including school principal Ravikumar, filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking bail. When this was brought to court, the Madras High Court questioned why the Kallakurichi private school administrators were arrested. Following this, the school administrators granted bail today.
Kallakuruchi school student Srimathi committed suicide on July 13. Her family members protested against the school. Later the protest turned out to be a riot. Protestors ransacked the entire school on July 17. This has become more sensational news and is going viral.
Srimathi's parents suspected the student's death was murder, not suicide, and the school administrators were arrested. CBCID took this case and was investigating.
Five persons, namely Ravikumar, secretary Shanthi, school principal Sivasankaran, chemistry teacher Haripriya and mathematics teacher Keerthika, have filed a petition in the Chennai High Court seeking bail.
They applied for bail, saying they were not responsible for the student's death. When this case came to hearing in court, the Madras High Court questioned why the Kallakurichi private school administrators were arrested. The Chennai High Court heard this petition and granted the five school administrators bail.
