MDMK MP Ganesamoorthy Passed Away The Age Of 76

Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) MP A Ganesamoorthy (76), who attempted suicide a few days ago when he consumed a pesticide, died of cardiac arrest early on Thursday. The 76-year-old leader died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Coimbatore around 5 am.
He was admitted to a private hospital in Coimbatore in a critical condition. He was being treated with an ECMO device. Ganeshamoorthy, who was under intensive care for 72 hours, passed away at one o'clock in the morning on Thursday.
It is reported that Ganesamoorthy was disappointed when the party denied him a ticket to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Erode constituency. The MDMK and DMK recently decided to field Durai Vaiko, the son of MDMK general secretary Vaiko, as their candidate.
