Sathya, a marriage swindler from Erode district, has been arrested in Puducherry on Sunday, after allegedly cheating 50 men in marriages across the district.  

The Marriage Scam: 

One of Sathya's victims, 30-year-old Aravind from Dharapuram in Tiruppur district, met Sathya on a dating site Anbe. Under the impression of love, she convinced Aravind to marry her without their parent's knowledge, with said-to-be broker Tamilselvi facilitating the arrangement.

Upon growing suspicions and discovering Sathya's involvement in multiple marriages, Aravind took swift action. He witfully brought Sathya and Tamilselvi to the Dharapuram police station, filing a formal complaint against them.

Police Investigation:

In the course of the police investigations, a shocking revelation came to light about Sathya. It was discovered that she had fraudulently married over 50 individuals and had also stolen money and jewelry from them. Furthermore, it was uncovered that numerous victims of her deception felt unable to step forward and report the incidents.

Sathya's Escape:

Sathya understanding the situation escaped from the police station. This case was brought to the limelight as the marriage swindler Sathya started the trend on social media for her marriage with 50 men.

Sathya's Arrest:

Recently, the police caught her in Puducherry on July 14 and arrested her. They were brought to Dharapuram All Women Police Station. In this case, at the Dharapuram police station, Sathya said to the press that she would prove herself and accused the media of portraying her in a bad way. In this situation, the victim's families and people are waiting for the court hearing for this case.
