Is suicide is better than Corona? Legendary business man Iruttu Kadai Halwa Singh's suicide an eye-opener: No, Fight against Corona and back home instead of taking risk. Hari Singh, the owner of the historical and world-famous Iruttu Kadai Halwa shop owner Hari Singh suicide rumoured to be due to COVID 19 disease, is an eye-opener for the other districts.
This seventy-year-old Singh due to fear of spreading coronavirus infection to his family has allegedly committed suicide. If everyone realizes that it is not only their life they are risking by not following the safety norms but also that of their loved ones, it will put an end to this coronavirus pathetic situation.
The elderly and those suffering from serious illnesses can isolate themselves even when they are at risk, and eating enough nutritious foods can easily get us out of the corona. Yet the fear of corona within the general community and its lack of understanding of what is separate from others are driving some people to the wrong conclusion.
The more than ten lakh people of Dharavi in a 500 acres land in Mumbai, and more than one lakh people in the small Kannaki Nagar in Chennai are proof of such a novel way of chasing coronavirus. In these two places, it is impossible to follow social distancing.
Especially in Dharavi, where 80 people share one toilet and a minimum of 8 people living in 100 sq.ft room or hut. If it is possible in such near to impossible places for social distancing and other norms, then why not in other places. Only then will we win this battle against this deadly pathogen and live a fearless life with the right livelihood.
