Koyambedu Market Reopens on Sep 28th says O Panneerselvam

While, The Cases of the corona, which has been decreasing for the past few days and is increasing again(1,286 by Aug 27) in Chennai, TN Government decided to reopen Koyambedu on the 28th of September.
A.M. Vikramaraja, president of the Tamil Nadu Vanigar Sangankalin Peramaippu and members of the Association, met Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam today. After the meeting, the announcement was made about the reopening of the market.
Koyambedu Wholesale Market Complex (KWMC) is one of Asia’s largest vegetable markets and a livelihood source for more than 15,000 people. It became a hotspot of COVID and closed in Last May, Later transformed to Thirumazhisai and Madhavaram.
It has been reported that the market will reopen again with great caution. Every part of the store is currently spraying three layers of disinfectants. The food grain wholesale stores at Koyambedu Market will be open earlier on September 18.
