A female student from Kanchipuram Meenakshi Medical College has died by suicide after jumping from the 5th floor of the building on September 1. The distressing event caused a stir among the students who gathered outside the building in shock and disbelief.

The video of the female student jumping from the 5th floor was leaked online where the student was seen sitting in the slap of the fifth floor before she jumped. 

The Medical Student:

The deceased was identified as Sherley, a 23-year-old and the fifth-year medical student from Thoothukudi district. She was reportedly struggling with severe depression due to relationship issues. It is also said that her mother also came and lived with her to support her.

Reason For Medical Student Death:

It is reported that Sherley was in love with a fellow student from 1st year. Their relationship got strained around 3rd year and they completely stopped talking.

The deceased father tried to reconcile their relationship which did not work out well. Due to this, she entered into a depression and decided to end her life.

In this case, Sherley student of Meenakshi Medical College committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of her hostel building. It is said that the college students and workers spotted her and asked her to get down. Despite their pleas, the fifth-year female student jumped from the building. 

Emergency medical services were immediately called, and the student was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead by the attending doctors.

Following this authorities have launched a thorough investigation to determine the factors leading to this tragedy.
