Is 10 Rs Coin Valid?

The 10 Rs coins are valid and usable among people as it was legally authorized by the Indian government. In recent years, people started to believe that the 10 rs coins were invalid and refused to take them.

This 10 Rs coin issue created problems between the shopkeepers and the customers as many believed the coin was invalid. Even though clarifications are done by RBI (Reserve Bank of India) in terms that the coins are valid, people are still not ready to accept them.

The RBI has informed that the coins in the denomination of Rs. 10 and Rs 20 are legal tender and good for transactions. Many still wrongly assume that the money is invalid, especially in rural areas. Some people have even witnessed others refusing to accept Rs. 10 coins as change in buses or shops, leading to tension among people.

She has issued a warning stating that shops refusing to accept these coins could face legal consequences for disregarding valid currency. This legal action is expected to solve the problems associated with the 10 Rs coin.
