Continues Rain In Many Parts Of Tamil Nadu, Schools Declares Holiday

Heavy rains are expected in four districts today due to atmospheric circulation. A low-pressure area will form in the Bay of Bengal tomorrow, as stated by the Met department.
Holidays have been declared today for schools and colleges in several districts as a precautionary measure against heavy rains. Schools and colleges have been declared holiday in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Villupuram, Thiruvarur, Cuddalore, Theni, Kallakurichi, Virudhunagar, Dindigul, Salem, Nagapattinam, Thiruvannamalai and Tirupati.
Whereas only schools are declared as holidays in Ranipet, Ariyalur, Vellore, Salem, Dharmapuri, and Perambalur. Agriculture has been affected in many districts due to heavy rain. In this situation, the farmers have demanded that the agriculture authorities to conduct a re-inspection and provide appropriate compensation.
The Met Office has forecast moderate to heavy rain with thunder in most parts of other coastal districts. Heavy rain in Chennai has caused damage to the houses, and the common people have a sleepless nights. The videos of the ceiling falling down and the floods are going viral on social media.
T.Nagar, KK Nagar, Mambalam, West Mambalam, Koyambedu, Vadapalani, Virugambakkam, Saligramam, Nungambakkam, Choolaimedu, Purasaivakkam, Puliyanthoppu, Egmore, Velachery, Medavakkam, Anna Nagar and most of the parts of the city are flooded with water due to heavy rain.
