Coimbatore: PSG Bridge Is Back, Open for Public And Students

A new foot overbridge installed near PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore city on September 8, 2024. This bridge is open for both the public and students who cross the busy Avinashi road avoiding traffic. 

The New PSG Bridge Details:

The bridge, which is seven feet wide and 25 meters long, is strategically located beneath the flyover that is under construction on Avinashi Road. It is designed to provide easy and safe passage for both the public and students who need to cross the busy Avinashi road, allowing them to avoid traffic congestion.

PSG College had a bridge for students to easily cross the road, but it was dismantled due to the Avinashi Flyover construction. In this case, on September 8, a foot overbridge was installed in front of  PSG College of Technology. This bridge will benefit the public and students will be opened shortly. 

An official from the State Highways Department highlighted that the height of the piers near the college ensures that the foot overbridge does not obstruct vehicular traffic on the road and emphasizes its safety and convenience for pedestrians. 

The bridge is expected to significantly improve the mobility and safety of the public and students navigating this bustling area.
