Coimbatore Building Collapsed Yesterday : Two found Dead

A two-storey building in Coimbatore was collapsed due to incessant rain for the last two days. Six were rescued and two were pronounced dead at the scene.
Yesterday, around 9 pm, a building was collapsed in Perur, and residents are clasped under the debris. Local people rushed to the place and retrieved two people Kavitha, 46, and Sarojini,70, at the spot.
Coimbatore District collector K Rajamani and city police commissioner Sumit Sharan reached the place with 20 fire service on being informed and rescued Vanaja, 65, Dhanveer, 5, Manoj, 47, and Manikandan,42, from the debris.
The rescued people were sent to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for treatment. Swetha, 25, Mother of Dhanveer, and K Gopalsamy, 72 were found dead. As per information, the building was soaked because of ceaseless rain for two days.
