Chennai Thiru Vi Ka Nagar becomes role model for others: In Chennai, Thiru Vi Ka Nagar was the worst zone with the maximum number of coronavirus cases and was ranked first initially in the worst-hit 15 wards. But it was only until a few days back, and now it has gone down to the sixth rank.
Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management R B Udayakumar was all praise for the chief minister for controlling the coronavirus in this ward. Minister said that all the essential items, including water were supplied to the quarantined people at their doorstep. It is to stop the infected persons from coming out of their quarantine and thus spread the infection.
Also, counseling was given to them through Whatsapp groups. And it was the zonal officer and Arun Thambiraj who gained the confidence of the people with transparency in the zone to control the spread of the virus.
