Chennai Metro 5 Rupees Tickets To Any Destination?

On the occasion of the foundation day of the Chennai Metro Rail Corporation, the Metro Rail Administration has announced that commuters can travel on the Metro for just 5 rupees.

The metro train service started in Chennai in 2015. The first phase of the metro train was from Central to Airport. After this, this route is being extended little by little. Following this, many commuters started to use the metro train to reach their destination. 

People started using metro trains in large numbers, especially on festival days. Following this, the Metro administration is issuing special announcements according to the passengers, such as giving importance to women, concessions during the festival period, and extension of extra time.

In this situation, on the occasion of the foundation day of the Chennai Metro Rail Company, on December 3rd, the general public can travel at a fare of Rs.5 only for one day. The foundation day of Chennai Metro Rail Corporation is celebrated on Sunday, December 3rd. The commuters can get a one-time travel ticket by paying just Rs.5 through Static QR, Paytm, WhatsApp, and Phonepe.

Metro has taken this initiative to promote digital payments. Also note that this offer does not apply to CMRL Travel Card, Singara Chennai Card, Store Value Pass via Mobile App, and Paper QR ticketing system.
