Chance Of Heavy Rain In 17 Districts Of Tamil Nadu, Chennai Met Centre

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has forecast showers in various parts of Tamil Nadu today. Chennai Meteorological Center Director P. Senthamarai Kannan has reported the weather condition in Tamil Nadu. 

He said that "Most parts of Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Karaikal will receive moderate rain on the 17th and a few places on the 18th. The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupati, Kallakurichi, Karur, Trichy, Thiruvannamalai and Perambalur districts will receive heavy showers at one or two places today and tomorrow. The sky will be cloudy in Chennai. There may be light rain in some places."

Similarly, light to moderate rain with thunder will occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puthuvai and Karaikal tomorrow. The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tirupati, Kallakurichi, Karur, Trichy, Thiruvannamalai and Perambalur districts are likely to receive heavy showers.
