Car Accident: What Happened To Vetri Duraisamy, Actor Ajith's Friend

Vetri (age 45), son of former Chennai Corporation Mayor Saidai Samiyappan Duraisamy, is a business tycoon looking after the humanitarian training centre along with his father.

Vetri Duraisamy recently took a trip to Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, along with his assistant, Gopinath, from Vellakovil. After their trip, Vetri and Gopinath headed towards the airport in a rented car driven by a local driver to return to Chennai.

It seems that the driver had a sudden chest pain while the car was moving in the Kashang Nala mountain range. As a result, the car lost control and ran erratically. In this, the car plunged into the river Sutlej.

After receiving information about this, the police rushed to rescue. Disaster rescue teams also rushed to rescue the car and its occupants. The car lying submerged in water in the river Sutlej was pulled to the bank by tying a rope to the car. Then, the driver, Tanjeev, was found dead inside the car.

The authorities who retrieved his body also rescued Gopinath, who was battling severe injuries in the valley area, and promptly transported him to a hospital for urgent medical attention. Gopinath was initially admitted to a local hospital before being transferred to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla.

While Tanjeev's remains have been found, efforts to locate the missing Vetri are ongoing, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP Headquarters) Naveen Jalta, who also stated that further inquiries are in progress.

In this case, Saidai Duraisamy announced a reward of Rs 1 crore would be given for information about his son Vetri Duraisamy in the Sutlej River accident.

Following this major accident, Vetri Duraisamy's photos, along with Actor Ajith's, went viral on social media. It is said that they both know each other well and are good friends.
