Police Probe begins After CM Mamata Banerjee Suffers Head Injury

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee suffered injuries following a fall in her house on Thursday. Political leaders are wishing her a speedy recovery.

Trinamool Congress President and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was admitted to the hospital yesterday with a sudden injury on her forehead and bleeding. She was said to have slipped and fallen at home.

The volunteers were shocked by this incident. She was subsequently admitted to the Government SSKM Hospital, where the doctors gave him intensive care. Her forehead was stitched. Mamata Banerjee rested in the hospital for a few hours and then returned home. She was taken home in a wheelchair with a bandage on her head.

In this situation, Kolkata Police Commissioner Vinit Goel has ordered an inquiry to find out if there has been a security lapse after the CM told the officer that someone “pushed her from behind”, sources said.
