Elevation on 2 Judges: The Central Government is seemed to disagree with the case proceedings done by the Supreme Court regarding the elevation of Anirutha Bose (Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice) and A.S Bopanna (Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court). The SC recommended the Centre to seek this issue as soon as possible, about the judges of the apex court.

As per records, the only judge moved from Calcutta High Court to Supreme Court is Justice Indira Banerjee. But there are 2 judges from the Karnataka HC namely, Justices Mohan. M. Shantanagoudar and S. Abdul Nazeer, who was in the top court. Also, the 5 judge Collegium was headed by CJI and they made the decision of Elevating these 2 judges.
