A recent TV argument featuring various political party representatives turned chaotic when Arjun Sampath, leader of the Hindu Makkal Katchi, aggressively confronted Mathivadhani, Deputy General Secretary of the Dravidar Kazhagam. The incident occurred during a private television program, sparking controversy among the public and political parties.

The private channel organized a political meeting. In the meeting, representatives from various parties DMK, BJP, and other parties attended. 

Egmore MLA Paranthaman represents the DMK, MLA Alur Shah Nawaz for Visika, Karu Nagarajan for the BJP, and Mathivadhani for Dravidar Kazhagam. The program attracted a diverse audience, including many supporters of various political movements.

In the debate, while Mathivadhani was making her points, Arjun Sampath abruptly interrupted enraged by her points, leading to a heated exchange. Meanwhile, the viewers started to react to the situation by throwing sandals.

The head and fellow debaters quickly interfered to diffuse the situation, and security police arrived to prevent further conflict. Amidst the chaos, supporters of Dravidar Kazhagam chanted for Arjun Sampath's leave.

After the incident, Mathivadhani stated, "The BJP resorts to 'sandal politics' while the Dravidian movement advocates for education and progress. They won't win a single seat in Tamil Nadu with such Sandal politics." This clash has sparked considerable discussion among the public and many started to take sides.

In this case, Mathivadhani garnered supporters from many political figures and celebrities. Actor Sathya Raj has also appreciated Mathivathani for being bold while some BJP leader opposes her stance.
