They may seem aggressive nor weird when you see them for the first time, but when you hold them as your pet, your view will be entirely different.

Exotic animals need legal registration to have them at home because they do not belong to local nature. They are from outside, which means imported from other countries. They must be registered to The Chief Wildlife Warden (CWLW), which is under the Wildlife Protection Act, who heads the Wildlife Wing of the department.

If the exotic best goes missing, it is must inform the forest department so that they will follow the necessary protocols. Since exotic pets belong to the wild, they are dangerous to some certain extent, so it will be the responsibility of the owner to take care of the exotic pet. 

The owner must make sure that their exotic pet doesn't harm anyone and is strictly under control. Since the exotic animals are under import and export, a proper legal registration must be there.

In foreign countries, we can notice people have crocodiles, giant pythons, tigers, sugar gliders, capybara, Wallaby, Chimpanzee, and so on. It is not 100% safe to have few exotic pets to be pampered at home as it may show its nature at some time. Few exotic pets are under sale legally, but it is the owner's duty to get registration for that particular pet.

Iguana:

Iguana takes the lead place when it comes to reptiles pets. They belong to the tropical region  Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. They look more like the monitor lizard as they belong to the same family. An average life span of an Iguana is 12 to 15 years, but when it is taken under good care and a healthy diet, its lifespan exceeds 20 years.

Iguana comes in different colours, namely Albino, green, blue, yellow, and orange. The green Iguanas are common, and it is the primary colour. The colour and the size marks the price of the Iguana. A baby green Iguana rates around Rs.8000, which is the lowest price. A small grown Iguana costs approximately Rs. 25,000 whereas the medium size Iguana rates up to Rs.35,000 to 40,000 approximately.

Iguana tail will be twice the length of their body. It will take 2.5 years for their complete growth. A fully grown Iguana will be 5-6 feet. Its skin can identify its growth. Same as the snakes, even the Iguana's skin will peel off at every stage of its growth.

Iguana is a herbivorous pet as it eats only vegetarians until it finds small insects nearby. Clean water must be provided for them to get hydrated. It eats fresh leaves and fruits. Dairy products and meat are strictly restricted in their diet. A 2 feet long Iguana can be fed once daily.

It is very natural for the Iguana to change its colour when it is taken outdoor. It is very necessary to understand the moods of your Iguana pet by its body language. Maximum try to own an Iguana from small instead of purchasing an adult one.

If you are the owner from small, it will never show aggression towards you, but if you purchase it as an adult, it will show its charge at any point. Turtles and Tortoises:

Following Iguana comes the Turtles and Tortoises. These are some fascinating creates that attracts by their calmness. There are some of the best companions to have with us around. Once it becomes friendly, their head will not get back to the shell in our presence. There are few differences between tortoises and turtles. Tortoises spend most of their time on land, whereas turtles are adaptive to land and water.

Another major difference is Tortoises have more rounded and domed shells, where turtles have thinner, more water-dynamic shells. Turtles lifespan is up to 20 to 40 years, whereas tortoise life span goes up to 80 to 150 years. Tortoise life spans are calculated according to their species.

It is advisable to show them sun exposure. Try maximum to provide them nature sunlight. Aquarium tanks are not recommended for tortoises, but turtles do need water facilities. Both do eat vegetables and fruits, but turtles do eat feeder fish, the earthworm.

The most common pet among the turtles is Red Eared Sliders, green turtle and Chinese long-tail turtles. A baby Red Eared Sliders costs around Rs.800 to 1500 per pair, whereas an adult turtle cost Rs 8000. A single Chinese long-tail turtle cost Rs 5000, and a green turtle costs Rs.900 per pair.

King Snake: 

When it comes to snakes, snake lovers love to hold king snake, milk snake and ball pythons which are easy to maintain and at the same time non-venomous. Having a snake as a pet is not easy because it is very important to have an eye on them all the time. 

Only the owner nor the family member will be fear-free when they see the snake. Kingsnakes grab the attention of pet lovers by their attractive colours and by their friendly moves. This snake is easy to handle and harmless.

King Snake gets ready to shed, the eyes will turn a milky blue, and the body colour will start to become dull and develop a whitish sheen. Within a few days, it will shed its skin and be a beautiful glossy snake once again. 

The space 20-gallon tank, measuring 30 1/4 inches long by 12 1/3 inches deep, is needed for the Kingsnake. These snakes are well-skilled escape artists, and so they must be out in a tank with a proper setting. It is advisable to have branches are small rocks inside so that it will be comfortable for them.

Never put the snake along with the other snakes as it has the habit of eating other snakes. Kingsnake grows up to a maximum of six feet, and its life span is 10 to 15 years if maintained with a proper food diet. Kingsnake is sold from 65K, but it is essential to have registration.

Small kingsnakes should be fed with defrosted pinky mice weekly; as the snake grows, the food size should increase until the snake takes large mice. Adult kingsnakes can be fed once every two weeks as they can become overweight.

Milk Snake:

Milk snakes are the most liked pet snakes at they are easy to handle at the same time; they are small and beautiful. They grow up to 5 feet, and their colours attract easily. These snakes rate from 65,000.

Baby Milk Snakes can be set up in an enclosure as small as 10 gallons, but adults should be housed in a larger enclosure of 20 to 70 gallons, depending on their full adult size. Make sure that there is no space for them to escape. They will be escaped even in a small place. They are great escape artists.

Milksnake can be provided with small mice and sufficient vitamins. It is important to feed them with high-quality rodents, and it is always a good idea to coat the rodent with a bit of vitamin and calcium powders before feeding them. 

Ball Python and Pastel Ball Pythons:

Pythons are non-venomous, which is commonly known. Their more attractive past is their skin. Balls pythons are usually shy and will be curious to know things. They often glide into something they look newly. It is to handle them continuously so that they will know the connection with a human.

Pastel Males tend to climb more and eat birds 70% of the time, whereas Females stay closer to the ground and eat rodents 60% of the time. Most pythons will look into mice than the rat. Adults should live in a 40-gallon enclosure.

These pythons live up to 20-40 years old when it is treated healthy. They will grow from 3-6ft. Females are much more prominent in size than males. Moreover, it is advised to buy this as a pet from the small instead of getting it as an adult python. Balls pythons are sold for approximately 75,000 per snake.

Spider:

Chaco golden knee sling will be the best spider for beginner tarantula owners. They have a very pleasing demeanour. They have a docile, calm and hardy nature which are essential characteristics for a starter tarantula.

These slings will not bite; the mere size of your hand is enough to intimidate them. They can be identified by the golden clour in their knee. Female sling lives longer than the male. Males, after reaching maturity, will have the tendencies to turn aggressive and defensive; this is because mature males aim at securing a mate.

Before you have them as your pet, learn how to handle them and feed them, which is very much necessary. Chaco gold knees eat crickets, roaches, grasshoppers, and mealworms. Make sure prey is less than half the size of your tarantula's body. An adult Chaco golden knee is sold for Rs.12,000, whereas a small Chaco golden knee is sold at Rs. 2500.

On the other hand, it is vital to note the 75% of the lizards, birds, snakes, tortoises and turtles die in one year after becoming a pet even if the owners take good care of them. In certain times it is hard for them to get adapted to artificial breeding, poor nutrition, unhealthy human contact and confined spaces to move.

Since exotic pets are travelled across countries, they undergo a lot of hard times before they the pet shop, not our home. They are shipped and transported from place to place, which is also an unhealthy action that makes them sick. All these animals must be registered to have them as your pet.
