Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, Heeraben (age 99), passed away early today at the hospital.
Prime Minister Modi visited his mother's residence in Gandhinagar and paid tributes in person. Then he carried her body on his shoulder. Later, the prime minister cremated the mother's body during the funeral at the graveyard.
It is reported that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin is going to Gujarat to pay his respects to the late PM Modi's mother.
