He was seen consuming alcohol there with his friends. There is CCTV footage as well where he was found drinking alcohol. To note the legal drinking age in Maharashtra is 25. Due to the alcohol consumption, he could not control the car, which led to the accident.

As a condition of his bail, the court specified that he must write a 300-word essay reflecting on the impact of his actions, seek professional help to address any issues related to alcohol consumption (counselling) and engage in voluntary work with the Pune traffic police to raise awareness about road safety and responsible driving.
Cases Registered Against Vedant Agarwal:
Commissioner Kumar stated, "We have taken yesterday's incident seriously. We have taken action under section 304 of IPC, which is a non-bailable section as it was a heinous crime."
After the accident, the Pune Police in Maharashtra's Aurangabad arrested Vishal Agarwal from Sambhajinagar, the father of the 17-year-old boy. According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed in connection with the incident, the man knowingly allowed his son, who did not possess a valid driving license, to drive the car, putting his son's life at risk.

Added to this, the bar owners are also facing several charges for serving alcohol to a minor, which is a serious legal offence. The officials have initiated legal proceedings against the pub where a minor was observed consuming alcohol.
