A private helicopter tragically crashed in Pune district, Maharashtra on October 2 morning, resulting in the deaths of the pilot and two engineers on board. In this case, the pictures of the helicopter crash were spread widely on social media.

Where Was The Helicopter Heading To?

The private helicopter which tragically met with a crash operated by Delhi-based Heritage Aviation. It was en route to pick up NCP leader Sunil Tatkare from Beed to Mumbai when it went down just five minutes after takeoff.

Helicopter Crash:

The Helicopter crash occurred shortly after the helicopter departed from the Oxford Golf Course helipad at approximately 7:30 am. The initial reports about the helicopter crash indicate that heavy fog may have contributed to the crash, which took place around 7:40 am in the Bavdhan area, hilly terrain.

Police On Helicopter Crash:

Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Choubey confirmed that emergency teams, along with fire department units, were rushed to the site. There were also complications in the recovery efforts as the helicopter caught fire upon impact of the crash.

The Victims:

The three killed in the helicopter crash have been identified as Girish Kumar, Pritam Singh Bhardwaj, and Paramjeet Singh. An official from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stated that an investigation will be conducted to determine the exact cause of the crash.
