A three-storey building in Shahbaz village, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra collapsed early this morning, July 27. The incident occurred around 5.00 am, and emergency services were rushed to the location after receiving the call.

Fire Officer Purushottam Jadhav has provided an update on the rescue efforts following the collapse of a three-story building in Maharashtra. According to Jadhav, two individuals have been successfully rescued, and there are two more individuals remain trapped under the ruins. Rescue operations are currently underway to locate and assist those who are still trapped.

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Kailas Shinde has confirmed that the collapse of the building occurred at 5:00 am. He also mentioned that multiple rescue teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), are actively engaged in the rescue operation to free the remaining trapped individuals.

"The building collapsed around 5 am. It is a G+3 building. Two people have been rescued and two are likely trapped. The NDRF team is here, rescue operations are underway," Shinde said.

This tragic incident comes shortly after a similar event on July 20, when a section of the balcony at Rubina Manzil in Mumbai's Grand Road area collapsed, resulting in one fatality and 13 injuries. The previous incident occurred around 11:00 am near Grant Road Railway Station in Mumbai.
