Kolkata Doctor Rape: Principal Twist The Case With False Scene?

Kolkata Doctor Rape Case Update

The Kolkata doctor rape and murder case took a turn as the autopsy report confirms that the 31-year PG Student was gang raped. People started to suspect that major figures were involved in the death of the RG Kar medical student.

Nirbhaya 2:

People considering the cruelty was rape started to call this Nirbhaya 2 (Nirbhaya is a 2021 Delhi gang case where a woman was brutally raped on the bus).

The autopsy report of the 31-year-old medical student angered the people knowing about the cruelty that had taken place in the case. It is said, at least 8 or 10 members were involved in this gang rape.

Reports say that 150 grams of sperm have been discovered in her RG Kar Medical Student body, While, one individual can only transfer a maximum of 15 grams.

This detail created public outrage towards the accused and they started to trend Nirbhaya 2, Kolkata Doctor Death on social media to gain attention to the doctor's rape and murder.

RG Kar College Principal:

Principal of RG Kar Medical College, Dr. Sandip Gosh has turned into a hateful figure among the students. Due to his, initial ignorance of the student's death as a suicide, then blamed the victim for being irresponsible in going to the seminar hall alone at night.

In addition to that, sources say that first the parents of the junior doctor are informed that their daughter committed suicide which creates more suspensions on the management.

However, after facing widespread criticism and protests, the police reclassified it as a case of murder. Students and doctors protested him to step down from the position.

In response to the massive protest, Ghosh has stepped down from his position as the principal and resigned. Despite this huge opposition among him in public, the government has decided to transfer him to the role of principal at the city's National Medical College.

Students blamed the government for not even investigating the RG Kar Principal as he was responsible for the victim as an RG Kar principal of the college. Then adding to their anger, the government appointed him as principal of another college. Even, the High Court also slammed the government for the decision and addressed the principal to go on a "long leave".

Controversies:

There are demands from medical professionals and opposition parties to release the CCTV footage, but authorities have yet to release the CCTV footage from the crime scene. But their request was denied with cameras in both the pulmonology department and the seminar hall being "non-operational" on the day of the incident.

Suspect Connection With RG Kar Principal:

Police arrested Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer who was allegedly captured on camera. According to local media reports, Roy has a history of engaging in necrophilia, torture, and extortion.

Sanjay Roy, the accused of the RG Kar student death had unrestricted access to all departments within the hospital. According to sources, numerous hospital staff have reported his significant influence and his reportedly close relationship with the hospital’s principal.

Public Theory:

The death of Kolkata has prompted suspicions of insider involvement, as many believe that individuals with easy access to the hospital may have been able to escape the scene easily. Furthermore, there are rumors circulating on social media alleging the possible involvement of a member of the ruling party in the case.

Protests led by doctors and students at RG Kar Medical College continue in response to the situation. There is widespread public anger directed at the government due to the arrest of only one person in connection with the incident, but there are more involved in the case.

The Calcutta High Court transferred the investigation into the rape and murder of a doctor at R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on August 13.
