Aarthi's parents and relatives staged a protest seeking justice for their daughter. The family members and the locals are asking the police to surrender the accused to them instead of arresting them.

Who is 9-year-old girl Aarthi?

A 9-year-old girl, Arthi, studying 5th standard, went missing while playing outside the house on Saturday (March 2). Her parents, Narayanan and their wife Mythili, who were expecting their daughter to return home, became pathetic, waiting for more than the usual time. After hours of searching, her parents and locals filed a complaint at the Muthialpet station.

What happened to A 9-year-old girl in Puducherry?

Several police teams were involved in searching for the nine-year-old girl. They searched day and night using sniffer dogs to trace Aarthi. They have also looked into some of the CCTV footage in which Aarthi was last seen. Her body was found in a drain close to her residence on Tuesday (March 5)

9-year-old Aarthi got the tag 'Puducherry Missing Girl' from the day she went missing, and even now, she is identified as the missing girl who was found dead. Reports indicate her hands and legs were bound with ropes, and her mouth was taped.

Rape And Murder:

The investigation confirmed that Arthi was abducted, sexually assaulted, and then killed by culprits. Puducherry, 9-year-old Aarthi, went through a difficult phase before her death. It is hard to accept that she would have been clueless about what they were doing to her when the accused raped her. 

9-year-old girl Rape Accused:

Karunas and Vivekanandan, who were arrested in Puducherry's rape and murder case, have been booked under the POCSO and Prevention of Atrocities Acts. The investigation is on to find out if more people were involved in the crime, Home Minister A Namassivayam told reporters at a press meeting.

Police Investigation:

In this situation, a special committee has started the investigation today. The Puducherry government issued the order on March 06, night after forming a special committee headed by IPS officer Kalaivanan. After receiving the girl's murder case documents, the investigation started this morning. The police are interrogating five other people who are in police custody on suspicion.

Following this, many party leaders and politicians condoled the family of the nine-year-old girl. They are voicing out and shooting their harsh criticism against the culprits.
