Coimbatore Roads Diverted Till March 19 Following PM Modi Road Show

Prime Minister Modi will visit Tamil Nadu today (Monday) for the first time after the election date was announced. He will participate in a grand vehicle roads show in Coimbatore.
In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roadshow today, the Coimbatore city police have announced traffic diversions. Heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering the city between Monday at 6 am and Tuesday at 11 am.
PM Modi Coimbatore Visit:
Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Coimbatore today at 5.30 pm by flight from Sivamokka Airport in Karnataka to participate in this event.
Heavy police security has been deployed in Coimbatore during Prime Minister Modi's visit. Iron barricades have also been erected on both sides of the road where the vehicle parade occurs.
Coimbatore Road Diversion:
Vehicles travelling towards Sathyamangalam Road, Gandhipuram, and Mettupalayam Road from Avinashi Road will be redirected to Thottipalayam Road-Kalappatti four-corner junction-Saravanampatti. Police have stated that those who need to reach Trichy Road and Pollachi Road will be diverted through the L&T Bypass-Sindhamanipudur-Singanallur route.
Mettupalayam Road:
The police have requested motorists to avoid certain roads in Coimbatore during specific hours. These roads include SNR-Gandhipuram 100 feet Road, Sivanandhacolony-Mettupalayam Road, DB Road-Brooke Fields Road, and Avinashi Road flyover between 2 pm and 8 pm on Monday. Additionally, it has been advised to avoid using Avinashi Road from 7 am to 11 am on Tuesday.
Motorists travelling to Avinashi Road from Sathyamangalam Road should take the route via Kalappatti from Saravanampatti. For those who need to reach Pollachi and Palakad roads from Sathyamangalam Road, the route would be diverted through Ganapathy-Avarampalayam-Government Women's Polytechnic-Lakshmi Mills-Ramanathapuram.
