CISF Security Justifies Slap: Did It for My Mother, a Protester

The BJP MP Kangana Ranaut in Chandigarh airport was allegedly slapped by the CISF Security Kulvinder Kaur yesterday. This sparked controversy across the nation. The actress-MP made a video confirming the issue which is trending on social media.

Kangana Ranaut is an Indian actress turned politician who always indulges in controversy. She is well known for her movies Tanu Weds Manu, Thalaivi, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, and Chandramukki 2.

In this situation, earlier this year, the actress joined the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and stood as an MP candidate in Lok Sabha election 2024 for the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh. Kangana Ranaut as a deput BJP candidate won the election Lok Sabha election 2024 with 5,37,022 votes.

Kangana Ranaut Slapped By CISF Security:

Two days after the Lok Sabha election 2024 results, Kangana Ranaut was on her way to UK 707 flight to Delhi around 3.30 pm. It is said that the actress had completed her security check when the other CISF officer came and slapped her. This incident was recorded on the Airpot CCTV camera and Kangana leaving the airport went viral on social media.

The MP Kangana Ranaut, reaching Delhi airport, did not address anything to the press, but later she posted about the incident on her X account with the quote 'Shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab', and added a video stating, “I am getting a lot of phone calls from the media and my well-wishers. Firstly, I am safe, I am perfectly fine. The incident that took place happened at Chandigarh airport with security staff.

The moment I came out after the security check, a security staff member in another cabin came from the side hit me on my face, and started abusing me. When I asked her, why did she this, she said that she supported the farmers’ protest. I am safe but my concern is that the terrorism and extremism that is rising in Punjab, how do we handle that?” The confirmation video from the actress and BJP MP went viral on social media.

CISF Jawan Kulvinder Kaur:

The CISF woman constable name is officially confirmed as Kulvinder Kaur. It is said that Kulvinder Kaur has been in the (CISF) Central Industrial Security Force since 2009 and joined the aviation security group of the force at the Chandigarh airport in 2021.

The CISF member had a feud against Kangana Ranaut due to her stand in  Shaheen Bagh protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act that happened in 2020.

The actress made a statement in response to the protest saying that the Punjab older women involved in the Shaheen Bagh protests are sitting there for Rs 100. The statement offended many protestors as they considered Kangana insulted protestors, which created a lot of public outrage against her.

Kulvinder Kaur was offended by her statement against the older woman. She slapped her face, stating that she did it for her mother, who is one of the protestors.

CISF Jawan Justifies Slapping Kangana:

The CISF Jawan said, "She had given a statement that women farmers were sitting at farmers’ protest for Rs 100 each. My mother was also sitting there when she gave this statement. I could not tolerate the insult of my mother".

The CISF officer is suspended for slapping the MP Kangana Ranaut and a case is also filed against Kulvinder Kaur in Chandigarh airport. This news brought a lot of attention to Kangana Ranaut and the farmer protest that happened in 2020 and it made a lot of buzz around both CISF security and the BJP MP.
