During the budget 2023, it has been announced in the central budget that a separate app will be launched for the convenience of tourists. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in her Union Budget speech for the coming financial year 2023-24 that a separate app will be introduced to improve the comfort of tourists.
It contains all the information about tourist attractions. In particular, there will be information about transportation facilities, guides, restaurants, security, etc. to go to a particular tourist destination. For this, 50 places will be selected and developed into a complete tourism package.
These destinations will be selected according to an integrated and innovative approach considering the convenience of domestic and foreign tourists. Infrastructure facilities will be improved under the Vibrant Villages scheme to promote tourism in border villages.
In a district owned by the states, an integrated market (Unity Mall) will be established to promote the sale of goods and other handicrafts. State governments will be encouraged to set up unity malls in state capitals and major tourist destinations.
