Bengaluru BMTC Bus Carrying 30 Passengers Catch Fire on MG Road

Today (July 9) in Bengaluru, a shocking incident occurred as a BMTC bus burst into flames near Anil Kumble Circle on MG Road around 8:30 am. The bypasses took the videos of the burning bus and posted them on social media, which went viral.
Bengaluru BMTC Bus Fire:
According to reports, the bus was on its way to Shivaji Nagar when it came to a stop at a red traffic signal on MG Road. When the driver attempted to restart the bus, a fire erupted. The driver swiftly take action and evacuate the 30 passengers on board.
Moments later, the passengers were evacuated, the entire BMTC bus was engulfed in flames, with the fire appearing to originate from the engine. The bus, with the registration number KA 57 F 1232 and associated with the Koramangala depot, suffered extensive damage due to the fire.
Fire Department:
After the incident was reported, the fire department responded swiftly to the incident, and the workers arrived at the scene around 9:00 am, bringing the flames under control in just 30 minutes.
The firefighters efficiently extinguished the fire, preventing any further damage. Despite, the intense fire and the dense smoke seen in the videos, no casualties were reported.
The incident caused significant traffic congestion along MG Road, leading the traffic police to divert vehicles to alternative routes. BMTC officials have confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fire, whether it was due to a technical malfunction or another factor.
