How To Temporarily Disable Your Instagram Account?

Instagram is one of the famous social media platforms to have a good network with people worldwide. It helps to follow our favourite celebrities and share reels with our friends as well. It has many features like reels, tags, live video, filters, IGTV and more.

If you already have an Instagram account and need to disable the account temporarily, follow the below steps.

Step 1: On the Instagram website, log in to your account and click on the person icon on your profile page.

Step 2: Select ‘Edit Profile, scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Temporarily disable my account.'

Step 3: You will be asked, ‘Why are you disabling your account?’ select a reason from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Re-enter your password and select ‘Temporarily disable account’.

Step 5: Your account is now deactivated and will be hidden from other users until you log in to it again. 

NOTE: As per Instagram’s usage policy, you can only deactivate your Instagram account once a week.
