COVID Survivors Develop Longer Immunity From Serious Reinfections, New Study Claims

CoronaVirus pandemic anniversary has turned out this week and the traces are still blooming without putting an end card. In the meantime, several labs around the world are in serious research work to detect a solution for the never-ending problem since a year.

La Jolla Institute of Immunology, along with several other leading labs of the world, conducted an intriguing study and concluded that people who recovered from the CoronaVirus contagion in the past eight months show sufficient and longer immunity to battle the virus reinfections. The study has been published online, and no books quoted the founded fact.

An immunologist from the University of Arizona states that "I do not think it's unreasonable to assume that these immune memory components will last for many years."

The study involved 185 CoVid patients and claims that the survivors can develop a vast memory and fight several rounds of disease like CoronaVirus. This long-lasting immunity has already set an example protecting people for 17 long years who recovered from SARS, which is also a CoronaVirus.

Globally, the number of corona victims has risen to 5.53 crore. The coronavirus that erupted late last year in Wuhan, China, has been rocking the world.

About 10 months after the virus spreads, its severity does not diminish. As of now, 55,335,839 people worldwide have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.

So far 38,482,661 people have recovered from the novel CoronaVirus. And 13,31,710 people have died due to the virus so far. Of those infected, 15,521,468 are being treated. The condition of 99,737 of those receiving treatment is worrying all over the world.
